Guidelines

• All hot tub boat guests do so at their own risk and must sign an Assumption of Risk and Liability Release before use.
• Swimming, bow riding, towing, and barbecuing from the boats are not permitted. Water quality on the lake can change without notice and may contain algae or debris that is not always visible. Any guest who nonetheless enters or makes contact with the water does so entirely at their own risk, and guests are asked to remain on board at all times.
• Please adhere to the maximum capacity of 6 persons on board at all times.
• Certain designated areas are off-limits and should not be entered.
• We kindly ask guests to refrain from nudity or overt displays of affection.
• Pets are not allowed on the hot tub boats. Service animals are welcome on board but may not enter the hot tub water or the lake. The handler is responsible for keeping the animal under control at all times and for retrieving it. If the animal enters the water, or is out of control and the handler cannot regain control, the rental ends immediately and the boat returns to the dock, with no refund. Lux Hot Tub Boats is not responsible for injury to, or loss of, any animal on board. Emotional support, comfort, and therapy animals are not service animals and are not permitted.
• Our boats must not be operated in a careless or unlawful manner, sub-rented, operated by individuals under the influence, or beached except in emergencies.
• Docking is not permitted. The boat may not be tied up, moored, or landed at any other dock, pier, marina, float, or private property during your rental. Please stay on the water and return to the Lux dock at the end of your time.
• Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited on board.
• Every guest must be sober, not only the person piloting. Alcohol and hot water on open lake are a serious drowning risk. We cannot release a boat to anyone who arrives intoxicated or impaired. See “Safe Boarding and Right to Refuse Service” below.
• The renter must be 21 years or older, and no one under 21 years is allowed to operate the hot tub boats. Children who are potty trained and at least 5 years old are permitted onboard. All guests under 16 years of age are required to wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket at all times.
• In case of lightning, the boat must be immediately returned to the dock.
• Please report any accident, malfunction, or breakdown to Lux Hot Tub Boats staff immediately.
• While the boat is in motion, all persons should remain inside the hot tub, using caution when entering or exiting.
• Please limit each soak to 15 minutes and cool off before re-entering. No jumping or diving into the hot tub, and no oils or soaps in the water.
• Glass items are not permitted on the boat.
• Individuals with certain health conditions should consult a doctor before using the hot tub boat.
• Please do not board if you have a fever or other symptoms of illness.
• We reserve the right to retake possession of the boat if it is used in violation of the agreement or any laws.
• Renters are liable for any loss, damage, or excessive cleaning required after use.
• Boats returned more than 15 minutes late are subject to a $100 surcharge, and an additional $100 for each further 15 minutes. Please notify us if you anticipate being late.
• Guests are advised to read all printed restrictions and the liability waiver before agreeing to a Lux Hot Tub Boat Rental.
• All discounts, promo codes, and reduced pricing apply only to reservations scheduled more than seven days from the booking date. These promotional benefits cannot be used for any reservation or service date that falls within seven days of when the booking is made.

Safe Boarding and Right to Refuse Service

Every guest on board must be sober, not only the person piloting. You pilot the boat yourself, and Washington law makes it a crime to operate a vessel while under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any drug. Beyond the law, hot water and alcohol are a dangerous combination on open water: together they raise the risk of overheating, loss of consciousness, and drowning. For those reasons we cannot release a boat to any guest who, in the reasonable judgment of our staff, arrives intoxicated or impaired, and we may end a rental already underway for the same reason. We are not required to perform any test or provide proof. This decision is based on conduct and safety alone, and is applied equally to all guests.

A reservation refused for these reasons is treated as a same-day cancellation. The full rental amount is retained, and time already used is not credited or rescheduled. Any exception is at our sole discretion.

The easiest way to avoid this is to make sure everyone in your group arrives sober, and to contact us before your launch time if plans change, so we can look at your options together.
